Paterson Pitts Group or PPG, Otago, NZ. A large history and a team looking forward to their future.
Contracted to look at the marketing of the then Paterson Pitts Partners. Flying lizard was asked to look from the outside in and propose a strong yet simple to implement marketing strategy beginning and new brand tools for communications.
Flying Lizard first listened to all Partners and created a working overview for a strategy and brand to suit everyone.
Once we had agreement from the Partners, we proceeded in creating and correcting various marketing initiatives then in place so over each successive financial period results from a marketing budget and customer feedback point of view showed business growth and progress.
A fixed budget was asked for, and Flying Lizard was able to met this request. Each year did introduce additional needs and these were tabled and explained for Partner approval.
Flying Lizard presented a feasible marketing strategy, one that could be implemented as Partners agreed. A marketing strategy that updated current marketing in Yellow Pages, corrected the website with updates, allowed for in house templates to be used and implemented an updated brand for the Partners.
Changes in office locations, and Partners meant that the marketing strategy had to evolve and adjust as needed.
Now with a few years progressed, the new brand and Partners needs have been in place and are working well. Flying Lizard is proud to have been able to help with supply and solutions for Paterson Pitts Group. The head office now has a all the marketing communication tools needed and a solid base for future marketing work to be initiated by the Partners internal staff.

Brand construction and implementation.
The need to bring current customers and allow the Partners to cement the business name going forward meant a 2 step approach was taken with the brand. First was unification of offices using a common device that could be used in house by all offices. Colours and wording were kept in the brand.
Next, step 2 was introduced, after key stake holders were listed and discussed the Partners settled on the final business name to go forward with. This was to be the visual change for the business which then allowed rollout of the remaining marketing strategy and communication tools. As templates were built with a logo change in mind this was a clean and simple update process that can be done as replacement marketing materials are needed by the Partners offices.
Flying Lizard implemented good website practices for business – A businesses website, domain name and hosting plan should be in control of the business owner. The website should be able to be updated when the business needs it to be. For Paterson Pitts they needed to have control for editing and later updating as they plan. Flying Lizard helped in this process, and adjusted the basic page template code by adding the approved final brand.
